Music access and lyric lookup

With your Media & Apple Music permission, VerseRide reads the current song’s title, artist, album, playback position, and any stored lyric text exposed by the music library. Saved imports and available timed library text take priority. To find matching lyrics or timestamps, the app sends song title, artist, album, and duration to LRCLIB over HTTPS. Stored library lyric text is not sent to LRCLIB. LRCLIB receives the network information needed to answer requests, including your IP address.

Files on your device

Imported audio stays on your device. Saved lyric imports and downloaded lyric caches stay in the app’s storage until you erase them or delete the app. Your device backup settings may include these files. Audio imported for a playback session is removed when that session ends.

Lock Screen delivery

When push delivery is configured, the current and upcoming lyric, song title, artist, playback status, and Live Activity token pass through a Cloudflare Worker to Apple Push Notification service. Displayed lines from imported lyrics are included. VerseRide does not store lyric history or log these request bodies, tokens, or authorization headers on its server. Cloudflare and Apple process the network information needed to deliver requests.

Version 1.0 uses Apple’s signed app-download record and a random installation identifier to set up delivery automatically. The record includes app transaction and device-verification information. The service verifies Apple’s signature, derives hashed identifiers for rate limits and revocation, and issues a credential that expires after 24 hours. The full signed record is not retained by VerseRide’s server. Credentials are stored in the device Keychain. Earlier private beta devices may retain separately provisioned credentials.

Hashed identifiers placed on an abuse-blocking list remain until the block is removed. This is operational security data, not advertising or cross-app tracking. Contact us for assistance or a deletion request; some blocking records may need to be retained to protect the service.

Purchases

Apple handles payments. VerseRide receives Apple-signed purchase status to determine whether Plus is active. We do not receive your card or bank details. Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Support and website

If you email support, we receive your address and the information you choose to send. We use it to answer your request and keep correspondence as needed to resolve the issue; you can request deletion. Please do not send payment details, passwords, or sensitive personal information.

This site and the relay are hosted by Cloudflare. Network information such as IP addresses is processed to serve pages and protect the service. We have not enabled Cloudflare Worker request logging, advertising, or website analytics. The site sets no application cookies.

Your choices

• Revoke Media & Apple Music access in iOS Settings.
• End the lyric session or turn off locked-phone updating to stop continuous background delivery.
• Erase downloaded and imported lyrics in VerseRide Settings.
• Delete the app to remove its local files. Keychain credentials may survive an installation change; automatically enrolled credentials expire after 24 hours.
• Email us for help with privacy, support correspondence, or a relay blocking identifier.

VerseRide contains no advertising or analytics SDK, does not sell personal data, and does not require a separate VerseRide account.

Third-party services and changes

LRCLIB, Cloudflare, and Apple operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We will update this page when VerseRide’s practices change and revise the date above.
